This is an absolutely wonderful neighborhood bakery, offering super high-quality baked goods. I’ve had the lemon loaf, the salted chocolate chip cookie, and the loaded oatmeal cookie and they all are excellent. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and I love that they offer pastries with rye and other grains as well as sourdough based sweets which is somewhat unusual and very tasty

Today, I participated in the introduction Sourdough101 baking class at Third Space Bakery even though I don’t have any prior bread making experience. It was truly an awesome experience that I will never forget. Nick Webster and Beth Taylor and Doug Heilman were exceptional teachers and worked closely with me to make sure I understood and followed along with the class. Nick took the time to answer my questions during class and even took the time to talk to me after class. He also wrote a simple explanation on why I do so well with Third Space Vegan Sourdough bread compared to other sourdough breads I’ve tried in the past. When I emailed Nick asking for him to convert the recipes and text to an alternative format that I’m able to read without any problems. The Hibiscus sparking water was refreshing and paired up beautifully with the vegan sourdough, nuts and dried apricot. I have no idea what olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar Beth mixed together however it was truly the best I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to tell all my friends and family about this awesome class. I can’t wait to come back to advanced sourdough class that’s coming up.

Third Space Bakery is one of those places that immediately makes a strong impression the moment you walk in. The aroma of fresh bread, buttery pastries, and warm cookies fills the space and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Everything in the display case looked beautifully crafted, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into every item they make. I tried a flaky croissant, a slice of their signature cake, and a loaf of artisan sourdough. Each item was exceptional. The croissant had a perfectly crisp exterior with soft, airy layers inside. The cake was moist, rich, and balanced in sweetness, while the sourdough had a wonderful crust and deep flavor that tasted like it was made using traditional baking methods. What stood out most about Third Space Bakery was the consistency and attention to detail. Every bite felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The ingredients tasted high quality, and nothing felt overly sweet or artificial. The staff was also friendly, patient, and happy to answer questions and offer recommendations. This bakery offers breads, sandwiches and rotating baked goods. They also offer volunteer opportunities and classes to the general public from cake decorating to pierogi making. Their chocolate chip cookies are the main reason for my visits. Some of the best in town but if you don’t like sea salt topped cookies you have other sweet treats to choose from. They have indoor seating as well as outdoor seating, making it a comfortable place to get work done or to just enjoy the art on the wall. Service is pretty quick.

Definitely in my top 5 bakeries in Pgh. The foods here are rustic and flavourful. I think everything uses either sour dough or whole grains. Unique and very tasty. We ended up buying more than we planned, and it was all delicious. Muffaletta sandwich, khachapuri, chocolate chip cookie, quiche, Mexican hot chocolate cookie, and sourdough cinnamon bun were all good! The khachapuri was especially cheesy and delicious, and my child inhaled it. Will be back to try the others! Looking forward to warmer weather so we can sit out on the porch. There's not a ton of seating inside.
